Say Goodbye to Cellulite; Hello to Great Legs and Buttocks!
You’ll Look Younger and Feel Fab ulous
There’s only one medical treatment proven to reduce cellulite –Mesotherapy.
In his book, The Cellulite Cure, Dr. Bissoon illustrates the benefits of Mesotherapy using dramatic before/after photos and testimonials from some of his many satisfied patients. In other words, Dr. Bissoon doesn’t just claim that Mesotherapy is the cellulite cure: he backs up his claims.
Although many products purport to treat cellulite, most are merely massage machines and creams that do little (or nothing) to improve your appearance. Mesotherapy gets results by targeting the underlying causes of cellulite – not just the outward symptoms. (To learn more about the underlying causes of cellulite, see Chapter 2 of The Cellulite Cure.)
Cellulite usually appears between the ages of 25 and 35, and progressively worsens with time. Although it’s easily treated with a few Mesotherapy sessions in its early stages, once cellulite progresses to more advanced stages, treatment usually requires a greater number of Mesotherapy sessions.
Stage 0: No visible cellulite, even when the skin is pinched.
Stage 1: No visible cellulite when standing or lying down. However an “orange peel” texture can be seen when the skin is pinched.
Stage 2: Visible cellulite when standing but not when lying down.
Stage 3: Visible cellulite when standing and lying down.
Dr. Bissoon usually refers to Stage 3 cellulite as “terminal cellulite,” a term he coined when he began practicing Mesotherapy in 1999. At the time, he didn’t think it was possible to treat such advanced cellulite. In the last several years, however, he has successfully treated women with Stage 3 cellulite, leading him to conclude that any kind of cellulite can be successfully treated. (To view before and after photos of a woman with Stage 3 cellulite, see Chapter 5 of The Cellulite Cure.)
Since more than 90% of women are affected by cellulite, this condition doesn’t make you “different.” But doing something about it does! If you’re considering any form of cellulite treatment, The Cellulite Cure is a must read.
Unlike most existing literature on the subject, The Cellulite Cure also explores the physical and emotional toll that cellulite has on women, including:
Fear of ridicule and embarrassment
Effects on romantic relationships and libido
Avoidance or decreased enjoyment of certain activities
Stress from continual efforts to cover up cellulite
Time and money wasted on so-called “cures”
Mesotherapy can reduce cellulite on the legs and buttocks, breaking down the orange-peel appearance of skin, and producing a smooth contour. The average patient sees a heavy reduction in all visible cellulite in 10-25 sessions. Some patients require additional treatments if their cellulite is particularly severe. On average, the patients featured in The Cellulite Cure completed their treatments in less than 10 sessions.
To treat patients with cellulite, Dr. Bissoon employs a standard Mesotherapy formula, which is often customized for each patient. All patients are allergy tested 24 hours prior to treatment. Please note: allergies to the medications are quite rare. In more than seven years, Dr. Bissoon has seen only 15 people who were allergic to the medications.
Once you are evaluated (and it’s determined you have no allergies), Dr. Bissoon will schedule weekly or bi-monthly treatment sessions. Each session takes about 45 minutes, and involves the injection of formulas in specific patterns (different types of cellulite require different injection techniques).
Mesotherapy is completely safe when performed by a well-trained physician. In fact, during the 50 years that Mesotherapy has been practiced, no deaths have occurred as a result. Compare this to liposuction, which causes approximately 100 deaths per year.
The most significant side effects of Mesotherapy are black and blue marks, a 15- to 20-minute burning sensation, mild to moderate soreness for 1-5 days, and (as with any injection) a slight risk of infection. All patients return to work the same day. (Additional statistics on the safety of Mesotherapy are featured in The Cellulite Cure.)
Before choosing a qualified Mesotherapist, please consult the doctors listed on this website and in the reference section of The Cellulite Cure. Due to the growing popularity of Mesotherapy, some practitioners are receiving inadequate training and are not achieving optimal results for their patients.
